Tyler Schroeder Honored with MoorHeart Award!

Congratulations to Tyler Schroeder! On Monday, September 14, the Moorhead City Council and Mayor Shelly Carlson presented him with the MoorHeart award.

Tyler works with homeless youth at Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership. He is being honored for his advocacy for his clients, and especially for his efforts to ensure all his eligible clients are registered to vote and participate in our democratic process.

Through his position, he gives his clients the resources they need to ensure their voices are heard in our elections. Tyler has been able to build relationships and become a trusted voice of support. He is consistently taking steps to ensure his clients are equipped to manage the challenges they face.

Jessica, coworker of Tyler, wrote in the nomination: “Tyler consistently goes above and beyond in his work, advocating for vulnerable youth.” 

The City of Moorhead thanks Tyler Schroeder for his dedication to ensuring that even the most vulnerable residents of our community can be a part of the democratic process. Thank you, Tyler Schroeder!

The MoorHeart award is commemorated with a piece of art commissioned from local artist, Dennis Krull, especially for this purpose.
