Celtic Festival

Celebrate the rich traditions of the Celtic nations with music, food, and crafts in the heart of winter. Hosted at the Hjemkomst Center, this event blends lively performances and artisan demos with a sense of heritage that spans generations.

Summer

Canoe & Kayak Excursions

Paddle the Red River from May through September and discover Moorhead’s natural beauty from the water. With affordable rentals and guided outings, this program makes river recreation accessible for all skill levels—right from Viking Ship Park.

Moorhead Farmers Market

Every Tuesday, June through October, the market brings fresh local produce, handmade goods, and community vibes to Viking Ship Park. With food access programs, live music, and over a dozen vendors, it’s a weekly hub for local flavor and connection.

RiverArts

Art, music, and community all summer long. Held along the Red River, this series blends live entertainment, food trucks, and family-friendly activities in a uniquely Moorhead setting—where creativity meets riverside charm.

Greater Moorhead Days

A full-city celebration since 1950, Greater Moorhead Days highlights what makes our town thrive: parades, live music, outdoor fun, and neighborly spirit. It’s our annual moment to show up, celebrate, and share pride in place.

Pumpkin Party & Trunk or Treat

Celebrate fall with spooky fun that’s friendly for all ages. Families can collect candy from creatively decorated trunks and enjoy safe, low-barrier Halloween festivities—with plenty of pumpkins, costumes, and community flair.

Pangea: Cultivate Our Cultures

Experience the stories, tastes, and rhythms of cultures from around the world—all in one place. Pangea brings together local and global traditions through food, music, dance, and shared storytelling in a joyful, inclusive setting.
