Traffic Alert: Construction to begin on 22 Ave S (6 St S to 8 St S) and 7 St S (22 Ave S to 24 Ave S) on Monday, September 28, 2026

On Monday, September 28, construction will begin on a City Project (26-A2-04) on 22 Ave S from 6 St S to 8 St S and on 7 St S from 22 Ave S to 24 Ave S at 7 am. Roadway work is scheduled to begin along with curb, sidewalk, and pedestrian ramp improvements. The contractor anticipates this phase of work to last 3-4 weeks, weather permitting. 

Properties that are located in these areas will lose direct access to driveways during this construction phase. Those affected addresses should utilize adjacent street parking locations outside of the designated construction area. Residents should not park directly adjacent or in front of the closures and construction signage.

Garbage collection and mail delivery will continue as normally scheduled during this portion of the work.

**Just as a reminder, individuals with disabilities or special access considerations should contact staff as soon as possible when access issues are known. The City will work with residents to meet their access needs during construction.**
