Parks and Recreation Registration System Update

The City of Moorhead has been informed by our Parks and Recreation registration provider, Sportsman Software, that the recent outage (2/26-3/3) was caused by a cyberattack on their system.

Below is the message provided by the company. At this time, no action is required from users.

Many of you have asked about data breach and whether your customer information was exposed. We can confidently share that no customer credit card data has been exposed. Our PCI compliant systems were effective in protecting those servers from any access and no credit card data has been compromised. Additional investigation is still underway to confirm that no personal customer data or employee data has been compromised; however at this time it appears our security measures have been successful in protecting patron databases and employee information entered into Sportsman Software.

At this time, it appears the scope of compromised information is limited to a portion of the images and documents stored in Sportsman Software Document Storage for some customers. Additional investigation is under way to confirm which customers’ data has been affected, and additional details will be shared once that investigation is complete.

No City controlled information systems were affected by this incident. We will share additional information if we learn any of our data was compromised.
