Notice of Candidate Filing
Notice is hereby given that the City General Election will be held in the City of Moorhead, Minnesota on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at which the following offices shall be filled:
- Mayor (4-year term)
- Ward 1 Council Member (4-year term)
- Ward 2 Council Member (4-year term)
- Ward 3 Council Member (4-year term)
- Ward 4 Council Member (4-year term)
Candidates must be qualified voters at least 21 years of age on the date of taking office, a U.S. citizen, a resident of the City/ward for least 30 days prior to the election.
Affidavits of candidacy for the above offices may be filed with the City Clerk, Moorhead City Hall, 403 Center Avenue, 1 Floor, beginning July 14, 2026 at 8am, until July 28, 2026 at 5 pm. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The Office will be open until 5 pm on July 28, 2026. The filing fee is $5.
