Construction to begin on 6 St S from 16 to 18 Ave S on Tuesday July 14

Work will begin on 6 St S from 16 to 18 Ave S at 7 am, Tuesday, July 14. This City Roadway project is scheduled to begin along with curb, sidewalk, and pedestrian ramp improvements. The contractor anticipates this phase of work to last 3-4 weeks, weather permitting.

Properties that are located on 6 St S between 16 Ave S & 18 Ave S will lose direct access to driveways during this construction phase. All affected addresses should utilize adjacent street parking locations outside of the designated construction area. Residents should not park directly adjacent or in front of the closures and construction signage.

Residents on 6 St in the impacted area should remove vehicles from their garages and driveways before the start of work at 7am on Tuesday. Garbage collection and mail delivery will continue as normally scheduled during this portion of the work.

Individuals with disabilities or special access considerations should contact staff as soon as possible when access issues are known. The City will work with residents to meet their access needs during construction.
