* Warming houses and activities will close if the temperature is -10 degrees or below, the wind chill is -30 degrees or below, or the ice is deemed unsafe/unskatable.
Cross-Country Ski & Snowshoe Information
Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoe Rentals:
Rental equipment will be available at the Hjemkomst Center for use around Viking Ship Park (Cash and Check payments only).

- Foot Traffic: Please keep to the right going up and the left going down. Avoid groomed classic lanes.
- Snowshoeing and Dog Walking: Please avoid the classic lanes. Dogs must be leashed and waste removed from trail; stay on the edge of trail.
- Skate Skiing: Please start in the middle and avoid skating in the groomed classic lane.
Slower Skiers yield to faster skiers and be courteous to other trail users.

Sledding Hills
Looking for somewhere to sled in Moorhead? We have a few parks with kid-friendly hills that, once covered in snow, will be ready for fun!
Locations: Horn Park, Riverview Estates Park, Viking Ship Park (hill is built for Frostival), Woodlawn Park, and Village Green Sixth Park.

BASKETBALL & VOLLEYBALL OPEN GYM
Get active this winter at youth open gym! Regular and junior basketballs and volleyball equipment will be available. These days are free and open to the public!

Get active and compete against friends and others at adult open pickleball! This program is for all adults of all skill levels, 18+. Equipment is available for use, games will be played to 7, to allow for players to rotate in and out.
