Junior Golf

Junior Golf Lessons are offered to youth golfers ages of 7-17. The goal of this program is to introduce juniors to the game of golf through basic instruction, activities, and games. Weekly lessons include basic swing, fundamentals, grip, stance, posture, aim, driving, tee shots, rules, and etiquette. 

Junior Golf lessons are offered through the Parks and Recreation Department beginning in early June and continuing into mid-July. Registering is easy: call 218.299.5340, view our registration website, or visit us at the Parks Office, located at 1300 15th Ave N, Moorhead.

Private

Individual, one-on-one private lessons are offered by golf pro Russ Nelson at Village Green. Call the Pro Shop at 218.299.7888 to schedule private lessons.

Rates:

30 minutes for $60.00  |  Series of 5 lessons for $240.00

2026

Village Green - Adult League's

Village Green Men’s League falls on Wednesdays starting a couple weeks after the course opens for the season. League ends the middle of October.

  • League tee times are placed by calling the golf shop (299-7888 Ext #2) and asking for a Wednesday league tee time.  League tee times can also be made in person at the golf shop.  League tee times are first-come, first-serve and must be booked every week.
  • Participants are allowed to book tee times 7 days ahead of time.
  • League Participants must have an active USGA Handicap and are required to pay a weekly game fee. (USGA Handicaps are available to purchase at the golf shop)
  • League consists of rotating weekly games that involve single, two person, and four person games.
  • Playing every week is not required.

Village Green Ladies Day at Village Green falls on Thursday mornings and afternoon.

  • Participants are allowed to book tee times 7 days ahead of time.
  • Tee times are placed by calling the golf shop (299-7888 Ext #1) and asking for a Thursday Ladies Day tee time.  Tee times are first-come, first-serve.
  • Participants receive discounted rates on greens fees for 9 hole and 18-hole play.
  • USGA Handicaps are not required.
  • Playing every week is not required.
